NW Corporate brings Soccer Saturday to Liverpool!
Sky TV’s very own Saturday dream team of Legends landed in Liverpool on December 4th for a live football debate at the Crowne Plaza helping to raise money for the Lord Mayor of Liverpool’s chosen charities.
Sponsored by Liverpool-based stockbrokers and investment managers, Blankstone Sington, the event featured Jeff Stelling the host of the Soccer Saturday show as well as Charlie Nicholas, Paul Merson, Phil Thompson and Graeme Sharp.
The lunch was a massive success raising around £16,000 for charity. It also gave the 400 strong guests including the likes of Sammy Lee, Jason Mc Ateer, Alan Kennedy, Roy Evans and Rafa Benitez an opportunity to raise many footballing issues from the lack of grass root academies to premiership wages.
Lee McPartland of NW Corporate added: “We attracted a lot of interest from sports personalities as well as fans and was a great opportunity to raise money for charities.”
An auction had a range of sporting memorabilia up for grabs including a 1966 World Cup shirt signed by 9 of the players.
The money raised was donated to charities including the Alder Hey Imagine Appeal, The Marina Dalglish Appeal, Alzheimer’s Society and the Mersey Beat Appeal.
